Our favorites for transforming your already healthy oatmeal to a nutritional powerhouse breakfast - Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Natural
Time to supercharge your breakfast Earnest Eats style! We know for many people the first thing you think of when you try to add protein to your breakfast is eggs, so we thought you'd enjoy seeing our tips on adding those extra proteins to our Earnest Superfood Oatmeal. Your breakfast will get that extra protein, tons of fiber, and other many nutrients!
With Earnest Eats Superfood Oatmeal you are already on the ultimate path for a nutritious and delicious breakfast that satisfies your cravings, while boosting your energy for the day. Starting off strong with a blend of regeneratively farmed whole oats, amaranth, quinoa and the bonus superfoods that differ in each of our flavors, but why stop there? By adding an extra superfood or nutritious topping, you can get your breakfast to the next level!
Here are a few of our favorites:
Almond butter – packed with 5-8 grams of protein in every serving, thats keto and paleo while still being plant-based! Adding a scoop to Earnest Eats Oatmeal makes your breakfast 12-17 grams of protein, that’s around the same amount as 3 eggs!! Almond butter can satisfy that sweet tooth while adding an extra source of protein!
Fresh berries – We love antioxidants and so do your cells! By topping your oatmeal with a few strawberries and blueberries can bring nutrition, while also making your oatmeal bowl extra Instagram worthy ;)
A Scoop of Protein Powder – If you already have a protein powder you use day to day, why not add to your oatmeal for an extra boost! If not, there are many on the market that would be a great addition (research one that works best for your needs!). I recommend a tasty flavor like Chocolate to add a sweetness to your bowl of oatmeal
Cacao Nibs or Dark Chocolate – Oh yes, you heard that right! There are many found health benefits attached to dark chocolate and cacao nibs including antioxidants, anti-inflammatory benefits, improving blood flow and so much more! Pro-tip: When picking out a dark chocolate look for 70% and above.
Dates – Dates taste like a sweet treat! Perfect to add in your oatmeal for the taste and its natural vitamins, fiber, and minerals. For best result eating 5-6 dates a day is recommended, cutting them up in bit size pieces should give you enough for every bite with your oatmeal.
The add in options for oatmeal are endless, but these are just a few to think about and try next time. While oatmeal is delicious and packed with nutrition on its own, try out one or all the additions listed above and let us know what you think!
